Home Lab (v4)

Yes, I am sure that most of you have seen similar blogs with home lab breakdowns before but, this is mine. :)

Word to the wise, do not go out and buy a complete hardware "CCIE Lab" kit from some place in cyber space. Take the time to research and build your own. Those kits are way over priced and I built mine for about 1/3 of the cost of those, and it's better.
I based my design off of the INE topology. It is a good place to start. Keep in mind, 2500's are expensive for some reason, and there is more than one way to build a lab.

Here is the hardware and software I am currently running:

6 x 2611XM Routers; 128D/32 Flash; Adv. Enterprise 12.4(25)D*
3 x 2821 Routers; 256D/(256or128) Flash; Adv. Enterprise 12.4(24)T
1 x 3750 Switch; IP Services 12.2(55)SE7
1 x 3560 Switch; Adv. IP Services 12.2(25)SEE
2 x 3550 EMI Switches; IP Services 12.2(44)SE6
1 x Digi Console Management Server;

Other Equipment:

12 x Wic-1T serial interface cards;
12 x 60-pin serial cables;
1 x NM-8A/S card; (8-port serial network module)
1 x NM-4A/S card; (4-port serial network module)

And a bunch of Cat5.

* The memory on the 2611s would have to be upgraded to run the (T)echnology series of IOS.
